The darkest days are upon us…ahh, lighten up. Happy solstice.

We have been having some snow, the heaviest snow that we have probably seen in our time in Anchorage. We got over a foot in the last couple days. It is really piling up in the streets. I think 4^th street was on the list to get plowed today, but there was just too much snow so they created a pile down the middle of the road. You could make lane changes, but only at intersections. The rest of the streets are also pretty bad. The ones that haven’t been plowed yet are packed and rutted. The ones that have been plowed have a shiny glaze of ice. I don’t miss the salt, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised to end up with some sheet metal damage this winter. Luckily, the speeds on the roads are pretty slow.
